Athlone Town v Villarreal

One of the leading clubs in La Liga, Villarreal C.F., has today (July 6th) confirmed that the club has appointed PLATINUM ONE as its Official Pre-Season Partner and that its senior team will travel to Ireland for its pre-season training camp this summer. The club will arrive in Ireland on July 22nd and will be located at Carton House, Maynooth, Co. Kildare until July 28th. As part of its preparation for the forthcoming season Villarreal will play two friendly matches during their stay in Ireland.

The first of the two games will take place on Saturday 24th July 2010 at 7pm when (subject to sanction) PLATINUM ONE will promote a game between Athlone Town F.C and Villarreal C.F. Details of ticket outlets are available online at www.platinumonegroup.com and www.athlonetownfc.ie

iSTAT were delighted to be given the opportunity to make a contribution towards Athlones two affiliate teams at the recent Athlone v Longford match. Athlone provided some training balls for both teams and chairman John Tiernan Jnr sees this as the first part of plans iSTAT have put in place to contribute towards both Bealnamulla Girls FC and St Josephs.

John Tiernan: At a recent meeting we (iSTAT) decided that we would try to make a contribution towards both the affiliate sides. We hope that we can build on tonights donation and try and provide both Bealnamulla and St Josephs with further assistance throughout the season ahead.

iSTAT are giving one lucky fan the chance to win a football signed by the Athlone Town team. All you have to do is print off the jersey template or collect a sheet from any iSTAT committee member then let your imagination run wild. The winner will be the jersey design that appeals to us the most. Closing date for entries is the 14th February 2010 and the winner will be announced the following Monday.

Guest_1287 : patron scheme is completely seperate from the club, its a diffent committee nd ther clubs treasurer has absolutelt nothing to do with it. im sure all the accounts will be presented at the end of the scheme to show who was paid etc

guest : only reason some of players on this is to make room for not players being payed higher wages, and dont forget you have management wages too !!!!!! so think query is correct
